Join in the St. Patrick’s Day festivities with Greengrass |Bluegrass on Saturday, March 8 at Harken Hall. Part of Music City Irish Fest, this first-of-its-kind show blends bluegrass and traditional Irish music for a unique, high-energy night of live music.
Celebrating 24 years as one of Ireland’s top traditional bands, Téada brings its energetic sound to Greengrass | Bluegrass. Hailed as “arguably the most vibrant and hardworking traditional Irish music ensemble in the world today” by The Savannahian, the group has headlined major festivals across the globe, from the U.S. and Canada to Europe, Africa and Asia. With standout performances at
events including the Rainforest World Music Festival in Malaysia and a stadium concert for 30,000 in Brittany, Téada continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
Following their set, internationally acclaimed bluegrass band Southern Legacy will take the stage, bringing their signature blend of tradition and innovation to Greengrass | Bluegrass. Featuring Josh Williams’ Tony Rice-style guitar and Don Rigsby’s high tenor vocals and mandolin, the band delivers
a dynamic mix of bluegrass classics and originals. Their performance will highlight the deep ties between bluegrass and traditional Irish music, making for an unforgettable night.
The celebration will culminate in a one-of-a-kind collaboration as both bands unite on stage for an electrifying jam session, blending bluegrass and traditional Irish music in a way only Music City can deliver. Greengrass | Bluegrass will take audiences on a journey across oceans and eras,
seamlessly fusing these rich musical traditions into something entirely new.
Doors open on March 8 at 6:30 p.m., with the concert starting at 7:30 p.m. and concluding at 9:30 p.m.
